Inspired by the Yoruba twin deity Ibeji, this piece explores connection, kinship and shared identity. The two figures sit together, linked by their golden blindfolds, while their clothing, hairstyles and calabash draw from Yoruba visual traditions. I was interested in the idea of two people being deeply connected while still remaining themselves.
